Maria Prince, MA., RCC

Hello and Welcome

I am a psychotherapist and looking forward to working with you!

About Me

I grew up in England and the professional training I have completed was a Masters in Transpersonal Psychotherapy at the Centre of Counselling and Psychotherapy (CCPE) in Little Venice, UK. I also hold a degree in Integrative Counselling from Canterbury University. I am a Clinical Registered Counsellor and a member of BCACC.

For 20 years I have worked with people of all ages, cultures and diverse backgrounds and for the last 10 years at a non-profit society for survivors of all forms of trauma and abuse.

My Way of Working

As an integrative counsellor I draw on different approaches according to an individual's needs and what they are experiencing in their personal life.

Some of the approaches I draw from are EMDR therapy, somatic experiencing, attachment theory and internal family systems, person centered and creative imagination.

Transpersonal

As a Transpersonal Psychotherapist I believe that behind every ailment a person is struggling with is his or her soul, I listen deeply to the hidden messages of the soul and look carefully at what is being revealed through the suffering. I believe we have within us a spiritual need and that psychotherapy is a spiritual search for meaning in one's life. A search that goes beyond the obvious and into the depths of our soul. Many people arrive at the therapy feeling disconnected from their deep selves, their essence, their soul, their Self. My way of working is to help you move through the pain and suffering, to feel safe, calm and connected to whom you truly are, at your centre, the core of your being...

I am available both in person and online. I offer Free consultation for 20 minutes; it is important for both of us to feel this is a good relationship.
